IDEA COMPETITION JURY

 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  1. NUFF Global is an independent film idea- and film competition of films made by young filmmakers between 18 and 30 years old. This project is managed by Youth Culture House Tvibit.
  2. Selection: The NUFF Global management has appointed an international film idea jury which will choose the best film ideas independently. The finished films will be shown in the Official Climate Film Competition of the Nordic Youth Film Festival (NUFF) 2007 (June 1st – 10th 2007). Only films that have been cleared of rights (including musical rights) will be accepted. The films have to be made by director and 50% of the staff from 18 to 30 years old. Films will be accepted in all genres and must not be longer than 15 minutes. If your film idea is selected for the Official Competition, you will be notified in writing. The jury reserves its right to allocate a production fund up to 30.000,- NOK to each film project.
    For the NUFF Global film competition the management will appoint a selection committee which will select the films for the Official Climate Program at NUFF 2007.
  3. Invitations: Some young filmmakers might be invited to take part in the NUFF 2007 film workshops and present their films at NUFF 2007.
  4. Awards: the NUFF festival management will appoint an international professional jury. These juries will award the following prize: Best film at the Official Climate Film Competition. Awards and Prizes will be announced at the conclusion of NUFF 2007.
  5. Deadline for submission: All entry forms for the film idea- and film competition must be registered on-line at www.nuffglobal.net (English language required). Deadline for the film idea competition is November 15th 2006. Deadline for the film idea competition is April 1st 2007. All entries for the film competition must have a VHS, DVD, DVD Rom or miniDV of good quality with English subtitles (only non English dialog). Whenever possible, please send a photo from the film and of the filmmaker(s) for the festival catalogue and the press.
  6. Shipping information (film competition): Once your film has been registered on-line, you will automatically receive a reference number and a confirmation letter giving you the postal address where you should send the material (VHS, DVD, DVD Rom, miniDV, pictures etc.). This material should reach its destination by April 1st 2007, at the latest. Shipping expenses for the film are to be born by the submitter. All films should be labelled: “For temporary use only. For festival and cultural purposes only. No commercial value”. Films sent by courier must be accompanied by a proforma invoice stating a total value of up to $15 US.
  7. Insurance: Your film copies won’t be insured by NUFF Global.
  8. Film return: VHS cassettes and DVD used for pre-selection will not be returned.
  9. Video Archive of NUFF: All films submitted for the festival will remain with NUFF for individual/scientific purposes.
  10. NUFF DVD: A compilation of the best films, including the award winning films, will be produced and offered to festivals, organisations, conferences, around the world upon request only on non commercial usage.
  11. Rights of action: The submitter of both competitions has no rights of action after submitting the form.
  12. Website: NUFF Global keeps its website updated but can’t guarantee that the information is at all time exact or correct. NUFF Global tries to hold the website clean of virus and other noxious elements. Eventual problems by using the website are only the visitors concern.
