Palarctic workshop

PALARCTIC is a filmmaking program that aims to bring together aspiring filmmakers from Palestine and Norway to provide them with opportunities to learn from each other and share their experiences. It’s a way for people from two cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives to meet in order to develop new ideas for films. Using filmmaking to promote cultural diversity and help identify cross-cultural exchange.

What you get from the workshop:

  • Welcome day, 12 days of workshop.

  • Accommodation at a hotel in Tromsø city center

  • A professional mentor that will guide you and your team throughout the workshop

  • Access to filming equipment

  • Covered meals every day, vegetarian and vegan options available

  • Screening of the workshop films on Friday, June 27th at the Verdensteatret cinema (the oldest still running cinema in Europe!) 

To apply to the PALARCTIC, you need to be:

  • Between 18 and 30 years old

  • Residing anywhere in the world

  • No special previous experience with filmmaking is required, but you need to have a strong interest in film and willingness to work in a team
