NUFF 2025: Workshop Films
Each year, the heart of NUFF beats in the international workshop, where young filmmakers from across the world come together in Tromsø to create short films in just six days. The 2025 edition brought together 35 participants who lived, filmed, and edited side-by-side under the midnight sun. The results? A bold and diverse set of stories, styles, and voices. All films include original scores composed during NUFF's parallel Film Music Workshop. Here are this year's creations:
Tale of Four Seeds
By Mahmoud Ahmed, Thea Mendez Okkelmo, Saad Othman, Kassia Rebekka Marin & Diana Nasser
Four stories entwine through the delicate hands of unseen narrators — hands that summon a fragile world of vanished memories. Faceless voices drift like morning fog, softly guiding us through the dim corridors of longing and loss. When time nips at your heels, these memories begin to blur and fade — yet something quietly resists erasure.
